How often should I get my dryer vent professionally cleaned?

Clothes dryer manufacturers recommend annual cleanings. Many of our customers only live in Florida part of the year, so we usually recommend every 1 to 3 years depending on usage: annually or bi-annually with children or pets that shed fur, annually for 6+ loads per week, every 2 years for 3-5 loads per week, and every 3 years for 1-2 loads or seasonal residents.

What is included in your service?

Our complete service includes cleaning from beneath the lint trap through to the dryer exit outside: brushing and vacuuming the lint trap area, vacuuming dryer intake vents and exhaust pipe, brushing or jet-snaking the duct inside the wall, thoroughly cleaning the exit cover on the wall or roof by hand, and putting the dryer back in place and balanced if it had to be moved.

Do you offer air duct cleaning?

Accepted Answer

We don't offer invasive HVAC cleaning with a brush or air whip, since most HVAC systems aren't very dirty and invasive methods can damage the plenum and ductwork. We do offer AmeroGuard disinfectant fogging, which kills bacteria and viruses and inhibits fungi and dust mites.

Yes, cleaning the roof vent is included in our basic service at flat rates, with various discount options available.
